Set up in your client
Claude Code
Run this in a terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http muslim-prayer-reminder-mcp https://muslim-prayer-mcp.najetareqz.workers.dev/mcpClaude Desktop
Open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector and paste this URL:
https://muslim-prayer-mcp.najetareqz.workers.dev/mcpOr bridge it through mcp-remote in claude_desktop_config.json (needs Node.js):
{
"mcpServers": {
"muslim-prayer-reminder-mcp": {
"command": "npx",
"args": [
"-y",
"mcp-remote",
"https://muslim-prayer-mcp.najetareqz.workers.dev/mcp"
]
}
}
}Cursor
Or add it to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (or .cursor/mcp.json in a project):
{
"mcpServers": {
"muslim-prayer-reminder-mcp": {
"url": "https://muslim-prayer-mcp.najetareqz.workers.dev/mcp"

}
}Or from a terminal:
code --add-mcp '{"name": "muslim-prayer-reminder-mcp", "type": "http", "url": "https://muslim-prayer-mcp.najetareqz.workers.dev/mcp"}'Windsurf
Add it to ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json:
{
"mcpServers": {
"muslim-prayer-reminder-mcp": {
"serverUrl": "https://muslim-prayer-mcp.najetareqz.workers.dev/mcp"
}
}
}Other clients
Most clients accept this shape. The endpoint is:
https://muslim-prayer-mcp.najetareqz.workers.dev/mcp{
"mcpServers": {
"muslim-prayer-reminder-mcp": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://muslim-prayer-mcp.najetareqz.workers.dev/mcp"
}
}
}If it does not connect
- Restart the client after editing a config file, and keep keys out of files you commit.
- If the tools do not appear, open the client's MCP log: a 401 means the credentials were not accepted, and a timeout means the server did not answer.

configure_prayer_preferencescan modifydestructiveUpdates persistent prayer preferences, overwriting supplied settings while preserving omitted settings. …
Updates persistent prayer preferences, overwriting supplied settings while preserving omitted settings. Setting fixedCity replaces stored fixedCoordinates and stores the canonical city timezone; contradictory timezones are rejected; setting fixedCoordinates replaces stored fixedCity. Can disable reminders. Fixed mode requires a supported fixedCity or fixedCoordinates with timezone; new coordinates require timezone in the same request. clearFixedLocation removes saved location and timezone and defaults to auto_travel. Combined fixed-location calculation settings are validated for the current and next local day before saving. Invalid combinations preserve the previous preferences. Auto-travel chronology is checked when a query supplies its location. Previous values are not retained for undo.

locale | string | optional | Language for reminder text: en or ar One of: en, ar |
minuteAdjustments | object | optional | Custom per-prayer minute offsets (-60 to +60). For fixed locations, combined settings must preserve timetable chronology for the current and next local day before saving; auto-travel offsets are validated when a query supplies its location. |
